This will be easiest with the Eye of Reach — if you don’t have the sniper rifle equipped, you can go back to the top of that sunken ship to find a weapons box. We are reunited with our fabulous cast of female pirates, our favorite first mate, Riden, and we finally get to meet Alosa infamous mother. Let's just say that the funny/flirty banter and sexual tension between Alosa and Riden disappeared in this book.

Alosa and her crew end up on the run from the Pirate King and it seems there is only one person that can help her defeat her father.Despite the exile of the Sea King and Queen, their immense power was still feared by The Ancients and the remaining Merfolk. In this book, there was no disguise, she was full blown captain of her own ship, commanding respect everywhere she went and protecting those she loves fiercely. With both, there would be moments where I’m extremely invested and loving everything going on, only to feel bored five minutes later.

Daughter of the Siren Queen was enchanting, and while I'll never wield a sword or become a badass lady pirate or kiss Riden *cue ear-piercing wail*, I got a taste of mindblowing adventures thanks to Alosa, I became a part of her crew and I fell in love, and I did all those things without risking my life or getting eaten by cannibals!Daughter of the Siren Queen is an action packed adventure where the author puts so much love into creating her characters that you can't help but love them yourself. The plot also makes it easy to read bc this book was super fast-paced and action-packed, which i really enjoyed!

The members of her crew she is closest with are Niridia (first mate), Mandsy (first mate during Alosa's mission and the voice of reason), and Sorinda (assassin). A stairwell zigzags up to each floor, the only way up or down except for the windows and the long drop to the bottom. The Whispering Plague as it would become known severed Merfolk from their song, a core part of their identity, causing them to transform into Sirens. Vordan however has creet doubt into her mind when he tells her that her father is hiding a very important secret from her. Her father might not be everything she thought he was, but cutting ties with him might be just what she needed to become everything she was meant to be.

I finished this one last night and I have to say that I really love this series overall - even though I wish there had been more with the sirens in this one?

I turn back to Vordan, who’s staring bug-eyed at the young girl he thought was a member of his crew. I’m actually somewhat sad that it’s over; however, it all turned out well, so there’s no complaints with that. But the siren is a murdering beast, trying to eradicate her humanity, and make Alosa use her abilities only for death and pleasure.Pity you didn’t catch my spy in your ranks, and it’s a shame you didn’t notice her switching out all the locks on the doors.
