url": "https://www.lorealparisusa.com/beauty-magazine/makeup/makeup-looks/tinted-serum-makeup-tips" My L'Oreal True Match Foundation review couldn't be concluded until I really put it through its paces, with two full-on days – one day in the office, which included a two-hour, slightly sweaty commute and meetings, and the other a busy Saturday which mostly involved running errands, rounded off with a few drinks with friends. We recommend testing out a few shades to find your best match. Below are a few helpful tips you can use to find the right one. The finish for both applications was quite radiant, so if you're a matte fan, you may not get on with this.No matter how you apply it, this is not the best full-coverage foundation. I'd say it's medium coverage, verging on the lighter side. Using a brush helps it look more opaque, and you can build it up in light layers, but you'll still need to use concealer to really cover any imperfections you want to vanish. It felt nice on my skin – light and comfy – like I wasn't wearing foundation at all. It stayed in place when I added my bronzer and blush too, which isn't the case for a lot of other bases. A pretty brilliant result all-round. How about after a day of wear?

I have certainly tested this Tinted Serum extensively. I’ve worn masks for hours where I could feel sweat dripping underneath it. Bearing in mind it is not usual for houses in the UK to have air con, I’ve done a workout on the hottest day of the year, gone from muggy rooms to ones with fans. I’ve sat in a hot car with my air con off as I was listening for sounds as I thought something was wrong with my car. It’s been into air conditioned supermarkets and then hot outdoors, humid walks etc. Nothing phases this product. It’s not transfer proof with masks, a little will come off. Ingredients: Foundations sit on your skin's surface and their ingredients should be compatible with your skin type to enhance your overall complexion. The L’Oréal Paris True Match Tinted Serum Foundation Light 0.5-2 is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and replenish the skin whilst giving makeup coverage. It's important to understand the ingredients used in foundations as they are sitting on the skin for most of the day and can actually help improve your skin beyond cosmetic purposes. As the perfect makeup/beauty hybrid, this hydrating formula combines the advantages of a skincare serum with the radiance and coverage of a foundation. With 9 available super-blendable shades, it easily blends onto various skin tones, leaving skin with a naturally luminous finish for a flawless nude look. I find the finish a bit powdery actually. It reminds me very much of the Lancome Miracle Air de Teint which has been discontinued. I used to absolutely love that stuff and one year I wore nothing but all Summer. The shades were a bit crap, too warm or too grey. However, since there wasn’t much coverage, I could just about get away with it. Since that product was discontinued, I’ve been on a quest to find something like it. And I finally have! This performs just like it, it smells the same, it feels the same on the brush and with how it applies. It lasts just as long, it’s easy to wear for Summer and I’ve found a shade much better for me! Although I find the whole plumping tinted serum aspect confusing, the actual product is gorgeous!

Well, this has been a journey haha! I don’t think I’ve ever been confused by a formula before and had so many conflicting comments! But when we got to the application and wear test, I hope it became clear that I actually love this product and think it’s well worth the price! It’s actually a bargain for how it performs. I say that purely because it’s so like the Lancome for me and that was triple the price at least. description":"Every season comes with its different challenges – dry winters, rainy springs, hot and baking summers and windy autumns. The question is, how do you find a makeup routine that works with you to combat the elements – regardless of climate – without leaving you with either that caked-on feeling or with half your makeup down your face by mid-day?

description":"There’s no denying a full face of makeup is stunning in its own way, but there are times you may want to opt for a subtler look. Maybe you’re running errands or simply want a slight boost for your work-from-home calls. Whatever your reasoning, a natural-looking foundation finish is the answer. Of course, achieving this can be easier said than done. If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to pull together four tips to keep in mind for your next natural makeup look." While most people probably already have an inkling of what their skin tone is, the same can’t always be said for undertones. The difference between the two is that your skin tone refers to your overall complexion, whereas undertone refer to the colors that come through your complexion and affect its overall hue. To easily determine your undertone try one of these two methods below: I love how I can put this on and forget about it, I know it’s going to look good all day. It’s not one of those base products that’s high maintenance and you have to keep touching it up. Personally, what I look for in a foundation ismedium coverage – not too light (that's what my best tinted moisturizers are for), and not too heavy or opaque, I don't want to look like I'm wearing a mask. Crucially (some might say annoyingly) it can't be too shiny – it has to reach that glowing sweet spot without looking – well, sweaty. It also has to stay in place all day, as there's nothing worse than looking in the office bathroom mirror at 3pm to realize that your base has totally vanished. However, with this product, since it’s a skin tint, you need your skin to be dry? So I question how plumping and hydrating the hyaluronic acid would be. I’m no scientist though, so maybe there are other things in the formula that promote this.I don’t find it brightening, but I do think it evens my skin out. It glides over pores and doesn’t settle into lines. It doesn’t look dull on the skin, but I don’t suddenly look in the mirror and think “wow my skin is so bright”. description":"If you want to channel your inner pixie there's no better time to do that then Halloween. Shake the bottle well before using. Apply 2-3 drops on your palms. Spread lightly with your fingers, just as if you were using your daily serum, by smoothing a small amount onto clean skin. Recyclable One of the best things about the True Match Tinted Serum is that it meshes beautifully with your skin tone even if you choose to opt for a slightly lighter or deeper shade. The serum comes in nine hues, but is so flexible that you can mix or match your shades depending on how much coverage you want. Either way, you’ll end up with a luminous, glowing complexion. Applying bronzer or blusher is a key beauty basic, but it’s important to use the right shade and application technique for you. So how do you choose the right shade of blush or bronze to complement your skin tone? And how do you decide between the two? In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know to apply bronzer and blusher like a pro. " As we mentioned, cool undertones appear in your complexion as hints of blue or pink and will be categorized as C in True Match Super-Blendable Foundation. Warm undertones appear more yellow or golden and appear as W in True Match Super-Blendable Foundation. If your undertones are neutral, which means you have a mix of warm and cool undertones, this will appear as N in True Match Super-Blendable Foundation.url": "https://www.lorealparisusa.com/beauty-magazine/makeup/face-makeup/foundation-true-match-shade-finder" id": "https://www.lorealparisusa.com/beauty-magazine/makeup/makeup-looks/tinted-serum-makeup-tips", Hiya everyone, coming at you with another base product review today. This time for the L’Oreal Paris True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum. That name might be quite a mouthful, but the product itself is exactly what I’ve found myself looking for recently.

Uniting skincare and makeup… yes it has a skincare ingredient, but I’ve already said above how I’m not sure how effective the HA would be in this formulation. I don’t find the formula overly drying, but it’s also not super hydrating either…. It does have a lot of alcohol in it to help it evaporate, so to me that’s a more drying ingredient. When it comes to finding your perfect foundation match, the struggle can be very real. But we have a solution. Rather than filling up your arm with several shade swatches or just guessing which foundation is suitable based on your skin tone, we know a few shade-matching methods that actually work. They all start with choosing a foundation that offers a range across a variety of skin tones and undertones.Be sure to look at your swatch under different lighting before doing your entire face. And don’t just rely on your bathroom lights, be sure to test out your foundation in natural lighting as well to get a sense of what it will look like when you’re spending time outside. The question of how to apply foundation, for me, usually comes down to one thing – laziness levels. Can I be bothered to dig out my best foundation brush es, can I get away with using my hands? Generally, I find applying makeup with my hands tends to look better, a bit more natural, and a bit less 'done'. In the interest of conducting a fair L'Oreal True Match Foundation review, I applied with a brush for one trial, then my usual handsy routine for another. I can confirm that the formula worked just as well in both scenarios. With a brush, it looked a lot more flawless, while still maintaining a nice glow. When I used my fingers, it sank in nicely, didn't feel too heavy, and blended out nicely for a 'my skin, just better' look. This method is bizarre — we’ll be the first to admit it — but we’ve seen it work. Hold a white piece of paper up to your skin. The white should create a cast of color on your skin. If your face suddenly appears more pink or blue, your undertones are cool, and if you give off a more yellowish hue, you’re warm. If your skin seems gray, you have neutral undertones.
