I know we’re almost halfway through June now, so I apologise for the fact that this blog post is actually two weeks late. I had began to write a version of this blog post actually towards the end of May (cheating – I know) but had based the ENTIRE blog post around the assumption that you would have seen a ‘May Favourites’ Youtube video that in the end I never got around to filming. Please forgive me! But better late than never I thought I would share with you some of my favourite products that I used throughout May and June this year.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, one of my favourite things about being a blogger is being able to find new products and share them with you guys. That’s one of the reasons why I love reading favourites posts too: being able to discover new products I otherwise might never have considered is sososo exciting to me.
Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray
Okay, I’ll admit I only bought this one at the very very end of May but oh my have I been using it a LOT. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing (let’s assume good hey!) that I’m addicted to this product, but it really is amazing.
“Created with a blend of fragrant herbal extracts and rosewater, it lightly refreshes skin whilst boosting hydration and relieving dehydrated, tight complexions. Mist it over your moisturiser for a hydration boost or use it to set makeup. It can even be used on dry hair as a light moisturising mist.”
I’m one of those people whose skin gradually just begins to feel worse and worse throughout the day. I always used to find myself rushing to wash my face as soon as I could throughout the day. It’s not practical and definitely not a great way to feel throughout the day. The rose-water spray has basically eliminated this feeling. I tend to spray it on my face after washing in the morning and at night, as well as a couple of times throughout the day whenever I need a little refresher. It’s definitely a product I’d recommend picking up ASAP.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
If you’ve been reading this blog for a little while by now you’ll have already heard me talk about this product a bunch of times. It’s one of those products I have to mention in every single favourites post; purely because it deserves to be mentioned EVERY SINGLE TIME. The Mario Badescu drying lotion is a product I have stuck by for such a long time now. I was actually introduced to it by the one and only Zoe Sugg in one of her previous favourites videos. (don’t quote me on that it may have been a vlog!) The second I heard about it I instantly hopped onto Beauty Bay and ordered myself one, and I have never looked back!
“Renowned for its ability to help dry up whiteheads overnight, our iconic Drying Lotion continues to reign as a best-selling favorite amongst beauty editors, celebrities, and professionals worldwide. This fast-acting, effective spot treatment is specially formulated with Salicylic Acid, Sulfur, and Zinc Oxide to help draw impurities from the skin and target pesky pimples while you sleep.”
It does what it says on the bottle! The drying lotion is probably my ‘go to’ product for helping get rid of pesky spots and is definitely something you need to try out!
Mario Badescu Calma Mask || yes it’s another skincare product.. I knowww, that’s what my favourites posts primarily consist of sorry if you don’t like skincare products.
This is a product which Jake purchased for me, and I am a little bit obsessed with it. It’s another Mario Badescu product (obvs) and it’s a face mask.
“Mario Badescu Calma Mask (60ml) is enriched with anti-inflammatory ingredients and helps to comfort irritated, red and very sensitive skin types. Ideal for rosacea, Calma Mask utilises Kaolin Clay and Wheat Starch to absorb impurities in the pores and helps to treat inflamed acne and redness. Suitable for very sensitive complexions, Calma Mask has an Oil free formulation and is perfect for all skin types.”
I have used this product faaaaarrrr too much since I received it and have loved all the results so far!
Clarisonic Alpha Fit
Again this is another product that I’ve spoken about before so I’m not going to go into too much detail. If you want to read my blog post on this product it’s >> here << The Clarisonic Alpha Fit is an amazing product. It is hands down the best thing I have ever received from a brand and I could not be more grateful.
I have not stopped using this product and it had to have a place on my monthly favourites post, purely because well May marked a whole two months I since received it!
