When you need a mower that’s light in weight, has a wider mowing capability, is able to reach the smaller areas of your lawn and is relatively fast to mow the lawn, this may well be the best option. The lightweight, small size and fold away handles make this mower excellent for small to medium lawns or lawns with smaller strips of grass. This mower is ideal for gardeners who have limited space for storage. Transporting the Cordless Lawnmower to your shed or garage should be no problem at all as the carrying handle is large and conveniently placed. The Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 comes with a 50L grass bag which is more than enough to collect enough clippings for a 400m 2 garden (the area that this mower is rated up to).This mower is not the lightest mower for its size but is by no means the heaviest. It is easy to manoeuvre around the garden, this may be to do with the large wheels, solid build quality, the comfortable padded bars and starter lever that runs the length of the bars. Yes, admittedly cordless will struggle with long damp grass and reduce the run-time of the battery, but if cutting your lawn is easier and more convenient with a cordless battery mower then you can just cut the lawn that bit more often and not allow it to become overgrown and difficult to cut. Below I’ll detail all the features and functions of the Gtech Cordless Lawnmower, both good and not so good and then compare to the Gtech Falcon so you understand exactly what you’re getting for your money. It’s a shame that this mower doesn’t come with a roller. I feel that this is made up for by the quality of the incredibly precise cut.

The only real downsides of the product are that it can’t cut grass super short and the handle isn’t height-adjustable, although the last point should only be an issue for people on extreme ends of the vertical scale. Still, it would have been a nice feature to have given the price. Of course this is open to interpretation so if you don’t fall under every single category then don’t worry I’m sure you’ll still love this product. It has loads of great features that I’m sure you make use of even if you’re not its perfect customer.

Whether you think these additional features are needed is a personal choice, but we still believe that the Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 is priced well given that it tends to do the basics better (and more conveniently) than its competitors. The motor’s well worth a mention since it features automatic variable speed: in short to medium grass the blade rotates at a steady pace, but as soon as it feels the resistance of longer grass, it speeds up dramatically, cutting the offending fronds with effortless aplomb. I managed to eek just under 40 minutes of running time from the 48v battery, and it took just 60 minutes to charge.

Adjusting the height has been made easy with a centrally located lever that is easy to find and operate, even if you’re wearing gardening gloves. This can’t be said of some models which have small levers which are hidden behind wheels and are fiddly to operate, with the Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 Gtech have made sure that you can simply reach down to the side of the mower and pull on the enlarged handle.
