Relaxing Mornings

It’s not that often that I get a morning to actually just sit down and do nothing. I’ve realised recently that I’m always getting to work on tasks near enough as soon as I’m awake, right now it’s actually 8.50am… I’ve been up for about an hour and I’m already planning content and working on little behind the scenes blog content as I’ve realised once again I’ve let life walk all over me and I’ve not been writing or producing as much content as I’d like to?
Anyway, yesterday was possibly the most relaxed morning I’ve had in a while. I say morning, but to be honest we actually got up at around 2.30pm. I’m not even going to lie when I say that I really bloody loved it. I feel like it’s been soso long since I’ve actually had a carefree day, with always at least one task sitting in the back of my mind I’m constantly occupied with things I need to do.  This time was different. We got up, headed downstairs at our own pace and made ourselves some breakfast. Waffles, Nutella Hot chocolate – the most unhealthy but delicious thing ever. Chilled in our pyjamas for near enough the entire day, on the sofa watching old films (Not like really old, more like Scooby Doo 2, yes we’re children at heart.)

All of this made me realise, just how much I really need to start letting go. How much I need to stop taking things so seriously and actually relax and enjoy my spare time a little more often. So from here on out I’m going to try to have more mornings like this! More me time, more relaxation and more room to breathe! I usually wake up a stressed little mess, and found that this was a super way of easing my mind. Lots of people already do it, but far too many of us don’t actually spend the time in the mornings just focusing on making ourselves happy and ready for the day!
