The image is pristine and the colors, though lacking the wide color gamut of HDR, still come across with a good bit of candy color ‘pop.

When you’re in the mood for a flamboyant bit of escapism Bullet Train is just the ticket (I know, I know), while looking and sounding fantastic on Blu-ray. The score is also effective, with an often-funky, jazz-inflected style that played very much to my tastes.

Several songs are played throughout, but the lion’s share of the action comes from fights, gunfire and, well, a train crash.
