This last week or so I have been trying to do a combination of things, write blogposts, take pictures for the posts, take pictures for Instagram and complete a load of college work which is due in this Friday. I love walking around and seeing lots of Christmas decorations on all the buildings and in houses, it creates such a happy, warm atmosphere and makes everywhere look so pretty.
This is a blogpost I have wanted to upload for a long while now, but I felt it was too soon to post it, but now as it’s getting super close to Christmas now I feel now is a good time to do The Christmas tag. I spent my time looking around on various blogs and searching up on the internet before actually finding a good set of questions, I will paste them in the comments for you if you want to do the tag yourself.
1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
Now I did a blogpost on this last week, but I think my genuine favourite Christmas film out of all the ones I have mentioned is The Grinch, I absolutely love Jim Carrey and have done for such a long time and his portrayal of The Grinch, combined with the actual story line of the film itself make it the perfect Christmas film in my opinion.
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
I completely open all of my presents on Christmas morning, this has always been what we have done in my house, usually both myself and my brother would go and wake up my parents, open up our small stocking gifts and then we would all make our way downstairs and open our other presents, then spend the time sat downstairs for a while.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
This question is a hard one. I wouldn’t say I have a specific favourite Christmas memory to be honest, I love everything about Christmas and never really pick a favourite thing out of the day.
4. Favourite festive food?
I’m not really a fan of ‘festive food’, and don’t eat many of the traditional Christmas foods such as mince pies or Christmas pudding. I do however, obviously, love Christmas dinner and also enjoy baking cookies and cakes at Christmas time and eating them.
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
My favourite Christmas gift so far has got to be my tickets to see Ariana Grande. I got them for Christmas last year, the day that they were announced. The tickets were for the concert which was earlier this year, June to be exact.
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
I don’t specifically have a Christmas based scent as I haven’t actually had the time to purchase any Christmas scented candles, which are the items which usually fill up my ‘favourite scents’ list. However my favourite current scent is the Vanilla Cupcake scented candle from Yankee.
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
The only tradition I can think of is, Christmas service on Christmas Eve. Ever since I was little my mum has taken me to a Christmas service, with a nativity play and various other activities. We usually go to the service and then come home and watch a Christmas film and listen to Christmas songs.
8. What tops your tree?
This year we only have our bottom floor Christmas tree up, where as most years we have one on the middle floor as well, On the middle floor one we usually have an angel at the top of the tree and on the tree downstairs we have a star.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I think the one gift I had always asked for / wanted when I was younger was a laptop, I wanted one practically every single year but never got one of my own, it’s only the Christmas coming up actually where I am actually getting a personal one.
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
For me, the best part about Christmas is seeing all the people close to me happy and joyful. I love it when everyone is happy and is having a good time and Christmas is a day where this usually happens, making the day even better.
