Description

Seramis is a high-fired clay granule, but it is made from a different type of clay to the diatomite cat litter types. At the end of the day you end up with a very similar material, with perhaps the biggest difference being in granule size and shape. Creighton M.A. L.L.D., Rev. Mandell (1888). The Historical Review. Vol.3. London & New York: Longmans, Green, And Co. p.112.

The soil is suitable for use in planters. Reliably retains moisture, prevents fluid from flowing through the drain. When using it, there is no need for a pallet. The real and historical Shammuramat (the original Akkadian form of the name) was the Assyrian wife of Shamshi-Adad V (ruled 824 BC–811 BC). She ruled the Neo-Assyrian Empire as its regent for five years before her son Adad-nirari III came of age and took the reins of power. [11] She ruled at a time of political uncertainty, which may partly explain why Assyrians may have accepted the rule of a woman when it was not allowed by their cultural tradition. She conquered much of the Middle East and the Levant and stabilized and strengthened the empire after a destructive civil war. It has been speculated that being a woman who ruled successfully may have made the Assyrians regard her with particular reverence and that her achievements may have been retold over the generations until she was gradually turned into a legendary figure. [12] The location of the hotel is great; close to the beach and old town. We did not use the hotel pool as it is too small for swimming really, but walked to the nearby beach. We also took bus 40 from the Old Town to Kalithea Beach and Faliraki Beach on seperate days, which was nice. I also recommend a boat trip to Lindos from Rhodes Harbour.Although eggs, larvae and mold do not survive in this formulation, this problem cannot always be avoided using rainwater. Rainwater contains micro-dust, which gradually accumulates between the soil granules, and pathogens feel quite comfortable in these intervals. Therefore, do not use rainwater when watering orchids. a b c d e f g h i Grabbe, Lester L. (1997). Mein, Andrew; Camp, Claudia V. (eds.). Can a 'History of Israel' Be Written?. London, England: Continuum International Publishing Group. pp.27–28. ISBN 978-0567043207. From many ancient writings, considerable is learned of this man, who started the great organized worldly apostasy from God that has dominated this world until now. Nimrod was so evil, it is said he married his own mother, whose name was Semiramis. After Nimrod's untimely death, his so-called mother-wife, Semiramis, propagated the evil doctrine of the survival of Nimrod as a spirit being. She claimed a full-grown evergreen tree sprang overnight from a dead tree stump, which symbolized the springing forth unto new life of the dead Nimrod. On each anniversary of his birth, she claimed, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts upon it. December 25th was the birthday of Nimrod. This is the real origin of the Christmas tree. Roman historian Ammianus Marcellinus (born c. 330, died c. 391 – 400), who wrote the penultimate major historical account surviving from antiquity, credits her as the first person to castrate a male youth into eunuch-hood: "Semiramis, that ancient queen who was the first person to castrate male youths of tender age". [29]

At the heart of the “Seramis” soil is high-quality processed red tape clay. Before getting to the showcase, the composition goes through several stages of processing. First, the clay is selected, then dried, then cleaned by settling in water and dried again. Annealed and granulated clay is supplied to the flower department in several varieties. For orchids, two varieties of seramis are commonly used. With SERAMIS® you are able to grow healthy and beautiful plants. SERAMIS® Plant Granulate offers even more advantages: it is light-weight; it does not age or compress; re-potting is easy and possible at any time, regardless of the age and size of plant. After your grow, the medium can be re-used. Simply remove the roots and wash it thoroughly. Using an enzyme product will help to break down any remaining root-hairs. Doing this means that it can be used many times over, making it a very economical medium.Through her scheming and designing, Semiramis became the Babylonian "Queen of Heaven," and Nimrod, under various names, became the "divine son of heaven." Through the generations, in this idolatrous worship, Nimrod became the false Messiah, son of Baal the Sun-god. In this false Babylonish system, the "Mother and Child" (Semiramis and Nimrod reborn), became chief objects of worship. This worship of "Mother and Child" spread over the world. The names varied in different countries and languages. In Egypt, it was Isis and Osiris. In Asia, Cybele and Deoius. In pagan Rome, Fortuna and Jupiterpuer. Even in Greece, China, Japan, Tibet is to be found the counterpart of the Madonna, long before the birth of Christ!

Thus, during the fourth and fifth centuries, when the pagans of the Roman world were "accepting" the new popular "Christianity" by hundreds of thousands, carrying their old pagan customs and beliefs along with them, merely cloaking them with Christian-sounding names, the Madonna and "Mother and Child" idea also became popularized, especially at Christmas time. Every Christmas season you will hear sung and chanted dozens of times the hymn "Silent Night, Holy Night," with its familiar "Mother and Child" theme. We, who have been born in such a Babylonish world, reared and steeped in these things all our lives, have been taught to revere these things as holy and sacred. We never questioned to see where they came from—whether they came from the Bible or from pagan idolatry!Instructions for use: to be used as a growing medium, also to be used as structural material and a carrier substance; designed to improve the absorption and retention capacity of water and nutrients. Lester L. Grabbe has claimed Hislop's argument, particularly his association of Ninus with Nimrod, is based on a misunderstanding of historical Babylon and its religion. [41] Grabbe criticized Hislop for portraying Semiramis as Nimrod's consort, despite that she has not been found in a single text associated with him, [41] and for portraying her as the "mother of harlots", even though this is not how she is depicted in any of the historical texts where she is mentioned. [41] Legends describing Semiramis have been recorded by approximately 80 ancient writers including Plutarch, Eusebius, Polyaenus, Valerius Maximus, Orosius, and Justinus. [24] She was associated with Ishtar and Astarte since the time before Diodorus. [12] The association of the fish and dove is found at Hierapolis Bambyce ( Mabbog, now Manbij), the great temple that according to one legend, was founded by Semiramis, [25] where her statue was shown with a golden dove on her head. [26] Frassoni, Edilio (1980). "Imperatrice di molte favelle". In Ufficio Stampa dell'E.A. (ed.). L'Opera di Genova. Stagione Lirica 1980–81. Teatro Margherita (in Italian). E.A. Teatro Comunale dell'Opera di Genova. p. 101: "Il lungo cammino di Semiramide nel melodramma". Professor Frassoni lists 77 settings of the story of Semiramis, from Antonio Cesti’s La Semirami (Vienna, 1662), to Costantino Dall’Argine's ballet La Semiramide del Nord (Milan, La Scala, 1869). To be precise, the list also contains 5 pasticcios. 3 ballets and 6 works by unknown authors, but does not include subsequent revisions and rewrites by the same composer. It does not claim to be exhaustive: for instance, just referring to the 20th century, Ottorino Respighi’s tragic poem Semirâma (Bologna, 1910) and Arthur Honegger’s ballet-melodrama Sémiramis mentioned below, are not included. It does not need to be systematically updated, since all its nutritional properties are not lost during operation.

In terms of the food, breakfast was a continental style, it was okay for breakfast and it was very busy each morning so it is better to get down early. Dinner choices varied each night with some nights being themed such as Italian, Greek, and i cannot recall the other. The food gives a good range of options and also desserts which were delicious. Also, when using Seramis, for lets say, wanting to root plants for any bought outside the 'normal' season, ie autumn/winter time, do or can you use seramis on its own, or should it still be mixed with the compost mix?
