Earlier this month Jake and I took a trip to the most ‘instagramable’ hotel. The Cow Hollow Hotel in Manchester. Obviously, we both took as many photographs as humanly possible (and they’re all going to be in this post, as well as a little chat about our experience!
I had briefly seen a small number of posts about this hotel online earlier this year – having only opened at the beginning of the year I had always been keen on staying over. Admittedly mine and Jake’s trip to the hotel was a VERY spontaneous situation. I am currently studying at university in Manchester, so the idea of staying in a hotel as opposed to my university halls did seem somewhat unlikely – however as it was our anniversary, we had a number of things planned for the day and wanted to make an event out of the day!
The evening that Jake and I stayed over at The Cow Hollow Hotel, we attended an early screening of A Star Is Born. The movie starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper (I could write an endless post of reasons why I loved this movie… You may see one in the future.) Arriving back from the screening at around 10 pm, we entered our room to see the bed had been made, our complimentary slippers placed neatly at the end. What impressed me the most was that the television had been set to a relaxing music channel. Entering the room felt like we had entered a relaxing heaven.
BREAKFAST IN BED
The hotel offers a variety of services that I have never received before at any other hotel experience. Countless glasses of unlimited prosecco between the hours of 6-8. Milk and cookies brought to your room, just in time for bed. My personal favourite, however, is most definitely the continental breakfast & wake up call – at your room at a specified time of your choice (alongside a coffee or other hot beverage of your desire.) Obviously, being the caffeine addict that I am – I opted for a Latte. The breakfast bags each contained; a banana, a granola/yoghurt pot and a pain au chocolate (the ultimate breakfast pastry….besides a Nutella filled croissant.) Also neatly popped inside was a glass bottle of fresh orange juice. What more could you desire?!
