About this deal

For a 1080 Ti, maxed-out Dota 2 at 1440p 120hz is really trivial, but once you go to 4K, not anymore. We retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose that we collected it for, including the satisfaction of any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

Overall, the XG27UQ is a good monitor, and I’m satisfied with my purchase, although slightly disappointed by the strong IPS glow and the few dead subpixels. However, we have taken appropriate safeguards to require that your personal data will remain protected in accordance with this privacy policy. The screen maintains the same 3840 x 2160 resolution along with a 144Hz native refresh rate of the earlier models. DSC (Display Stream Compression) enables 4K 120Hz to work through a single DisplayPort cable, without chroma subsampling. Running HDR with FreeSync or G-Sync at 144 Hz requires a Radeon RX 5700 or a GeForce RTX 20-series graphics card or better.Where that is the case, we will tell you and give you the choice before you give the personal data to us. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behaviour and their devices. This model doesn’t have the FALD HDR backlight of the PG27UQ so there’s no real HDR support to speak of, but it does mean that of course it’s a more affordable option. So you can throw two graphics cards together like the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER in NVLink/SLI and run Overwatch at 200FPS+.

I've honestly had to turn it off most of the time, because gaming with it on makes the monitor continuously flicker black at random intervals. The color temperature is very close to our 6500k, and gamma follows the sRGB curve well, although dark and bright scenes are slightly over-brightened.The LG has wider viewing angles that are more ideal for sharing content or playing co-op games, and it gets a lot brighter in HDR, although the brightness isn't as consistent. In fact sometimes it's more accurate to say the black screen occasionally shows flashes of the game. ASUS includes a bunch of adjustment in the XG27UQ with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment all up on offer.

Founded in 1992 to target the emerging mobile computing market, Clove Technology has grown and adapted into what you see today. Sadly, it isn't the best option for gaming in the dark due to its low contrast and mediocre black uniformity. I never tested HDR but looks a bit weird so not sure if it's me or the monitor so I tend to not use it anyway. I got this monitor to replace a PG278Q, which was starting to develop odd white stains, and never had good color reproduction in the first place (TN film drawbacks, very low gamma resulting in excessively bright shadows, under-saturated shadows, etc. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. For PC connectivity the DisplayPort is the most common option, with HDMI being available then for connecting external games consoles or Blu-ray players potentially. For productivity, it’s too bright, but for gaming or video, it’s a great way to add punch to the image. When I took a risk with this XG27UQ I was concerned I would have similar issues but lo and behold the overall quality of this panel is far superior.

All of them kinda “shimmer” a little bit, in the sense that they become stronger or weaker based on my angle of view. Klevu perform semantic and statistical analysis of this data to identify the intent and to build multiple, product-noun (e.

Normally I would drop the detail level down in PUBG to maximize the frame rate, but pushing 100FPS for the most part with everything dialed up was nice to see on the XG27UQ. Also, there are dynamic dimming / auto contrast ratio features which could potentially be useful in limited scenarios if you don’t care about color accuracy and want to maximize brightness. A legitimate interest is when we have a business or commercial reason to use your personal data, so long as this is not overridden by your own rights and interests. If someone comes across a different type of panel or their ASUS ROG Strix XG27UQ doesn't correspond to our review, let us know, and we'll update the review. Aura RGB refers to the large ROG logo on the panel’s back that lights up with various effects and colors.
