This is a transparent display that has templates that you can slide in the back … the downside is that you can’t slide both of these in at the same time.Also, water submersion is not recommended, but that really is no different than with most technology. The other smart pens seem okay, but I don't really like the notebook style of them and I'm unsure how easily/quickly I can get them into a docs page or markdown etc.

However, this most recent Blackboard model is revolutionary since it adds a significant number of new innovations, including its proprietary “Liquid Crystal Paper” feature set which creates the most comfortable and natural paper-like writing experience yet. Because the Blackboard is translucent, the writing on it isn’t quite as bright as the Jot, but those changeable templates give it value for me. I was so glued to all the lectures that I carried my screen and hands-free to the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom to complete them and generate notes to share with my colleagues and apply them at work.File management is useful folders, color tags, and auto naming by date, but a feature missing here is iCloud sync, as the files seem to be only local. If you could just sort and show all scans by a folder or change the chronological sorting rather than staying on the main screen that says “no documents” and having to switch to another tab that would be very nice.
