I wrote a post about one of my favorite (and more friendly) pouch brands here, but recently I was perusing down the shiny Target aisles and I saw the Infantino Squeeze Station and I did a double take.

It was really handy for doing overnight oats, so his breakfast was ready to serve as soon as we woke up, and for storing food in the freezer. I will certainly recommend the pouches, especially the mums who enjoy cooking homemade food for their babies. When baby “A” and I are on the road, visiting friends, or just chilling at home (on those days when I don’t muster the energy for dinner meal-prep) it’s often a veggie + protein packed pouch to the rescue. I heard that you have to reheat frozen/thawed baby food until it’s steaming before feeding it to baby.I didn’t know that such a product was even available before testing it and it was quite good fun to try something new like this and to see baby enjoy it when I was feeding him.

It is nice that you have the option to fill the pouches with whatever food you like, rather than being limited by what is produced by baby food manufacturers. But I did make them smoothies with both - and you could always put that in a pouch if your little one isn't ready for a straw. Made in the UK and 100% free of BPA, phthalates, PVC, and lead, and safe for the microwave, freezer, and bottle warmer. The pouches are easy to fill, the only drawback is that time it takes to clean the product – it can be difficult to get at the last bits of food at the bottom of the pouch. If so, you can’t boil the pouches so freezing the pouches isn’t an option because you would have to squeeze the purée out to heat it up. You can set them in the fridge to thaw overnight (though they don't even take that long) and have them ready to go.

I’m assuming that Infantino made the nozzle so small because they didn’t want parents to accidentally introduce any larger food chunks (potential choking hazards) to their babes. I would recommend especially for parents wanting to make and transport their own baby food, it’s a good invention. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.
