My precious child, when you asked Me to forgive your sins and come into your heart I sent My Holy Spirit into you to comfort you, to give you power, and as proof to you that I have adopted you as My child. Through My Holy Spirit I shall give you supernatural gifts that you may be blessed, and that you shall bless others through demonstrating My love for them. My Holy Spirit will be with you through out your whole life, and after I will receive you into My glory. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God.’ (1 Peter 4:11) Please take a few minutes, to allow this love letter from God to sink deep into your heart. Temptation. Whether we realize it or not, it is part of our past, and it will be part of our future. The moment we resolve to stand strong and walk away is when temptation grows most intense. That is why Scripture is of paramount importance. God's Word contains the answer to resisting temptation before it's too late. Consider these verses: When we find a man meditating on the words of God, my friends, that man is full of boldness and is successful. God commissioned Jonah to go east to Assyria, to the capital of Nineveh and deliver a message of judgment. But Jonah fled west toward Spain because he feared the Assyrians. You know the story—Jonah ended up in the sea where he was swallowed by a great fish. Jonah repented and called on the Lord and was delivered. God gave him a second chance.

I am here. And I’m always looking at you in everything you do. Full of love. Full of joy. Because I know you have entrusted your heart to Me. These responses–call them temptations or tendencies–are all problematic from the standpoint of responsible approaches to an ancient document from contemporary readers. Righteous doesn’t mean sinless, of course. We know that Abraham wasn’t perfect. But he did manifest some qualities that every father should emulate. First, he believed the promises of God about the future God had planned for him (Hebrews 11:8-12). And when he believed God, “[God] accounted it to [Abraham] for righteousness” (Genesis 15:6). Again, not perfect or sinless, but in a right standing with God. Second, as a result of Abraham’s trust in God, he became a “friend of God” (Isaiah 41:8). Could any father set a more worthy example to his children or grandchildren than that of being friends with God? Living in right standing with God? That means communing with Him, walking with Him, living for Him, and above all, trusting Him and His promises.If I could make you look into my eyes, if I could let you see the way I look at you, you would be so liberated.

My precious child do not forget all my benefits, I forgive all your sins and heal all your diseases, I rescue your life from the pit of destruction and crown you with love and compassion. I satisfy your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. I The LORD work righteousness and justice for all the oppressed; I The LORD am compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. I will not always accuse, nor will I harbor my anger forever; I do not treat you as your sins deserve or repay you according to your iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is My love for you because you fear Me; as far as the east is from the west, so far have I removed your transgressions from you.Oh, to see the glory of the Lord while in the midst of the disappointments in life. When we think life has collapsed around us, the God of glory appears above us. God always has a plan, and our false starts become His fresh starts. Reading the Bible is not a private thing! It’s something that is meant to be done with other believers. So when you read the Bible, don’t keep what you’ve read to yourself. Share it with someone. Why not read the same book as others in your church, and share what you’re learning together? As God has given each believer the Spirit, together we will get a greater understanding of his word! So don’t be afraid when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, because I am your Good Shepherd. I will be with you, comforting you and protecting you on your journey (Psalm 23), and I will never leave you (Hebrews 13:5). But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. You may not know me, but I know everything about you. I know when you sit down and when you rise up. I am familiar with all your ways. Even the very hairs on your head are numbered. For you were made in my image. In me you live and move and have your being. For you are my offspring. I knew you even before you were conceived. I chose you when I planned creation. You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book. I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. I knit you together in your mother's womb. And brought you forth on the day you were born. Learn to walk with God during the day. Talk with him while doing your daily tasks. Tell him how you are feeling, and how your day is going. Ask him to give you strength for your day. The more time you spend with him, the more you get to know him.

That’s nothing compared to the treasure you’ll find when opening the covers of the Bible. Perhaps it would help to think of it in those terms. Use your imagination to see every word of Scripture turning to gold as you read it. Think of every promise as a precious stone. See the words about Jesus in the Gospels as sparkling like diamonds. Visualize your daily Bible study time like a miser running his hands through a chest of gold. If you need a victory in your life, begin every day by renewing your faith in Christ in whom all our victories are to be realized.
