As the four challengers exit the ruins at sunset, they're greeted by not only Quillon but Danika as well, signifying that the other mission has ended as well. All five giants are sent out to stand side by side, Quillon expressing his surprise that both giants of these ruins were successfully caught. The giants start reacting to something, and a pillar of purple light emerges from behind the hills, followed by the appearance of a Dynamax Regigigas. After looking down at the group for a few moments, Regigigas disappears as suddenly as it had appeared. The group barely has any time to process what they just saw before they all receive a phone call from Professor Amaranth, announcing the final Trial Mission results and the challengers who will become Chasers. The leading challenger is Gary with a total of 15 tokens, three of which were earned from his last mission. The second chosen Chaser is Horace with 11 tokens. After hearing who the third and final one is, Goh calls Ash to excitedly announce that he passed. Gary, though, tells Goh that they've only reached the starting line, so they must still work hard. With this in mind, they both head towards whatever adventures Project Mew has in store for them. In the episode The First Day of the Rest of Your Life!, Ash invited Serena to go on a mini-tour around Lumiose City with him after the city has returned to its peaceful self. Ash notices something is bothering Serena, and challenges her to a battle. The two battle each other, after which Serena finds her resolve on what she will do moving forward. Ash tells her he will be rooting for her no matter what. After this, Serena decides to leave on her own to compete in Contest Spectaculars in Hoenn, in hopes of becoming a role model for others and a more self-sufficient person. Examining it with a microscope, she notices a short, fine strand of hair on it, which could originate from Mew, meaning that it must be close by. As such, she takes the Berry along for a DNA analysis later. Horace wonders if Mew will show up to them, considering it doesn't show up to people with evil intentions. Goh is unworried, as they don't have any evil feelings in them. Danika, nevertheless, tells them to stay cautious, as the reports of Mew sightings that Professor Amaranth had gotten from different regions had told how Mew could either be merciful or cruel, depending on the encounter. Unnoticed by the trio, Mew indeed is in the cave as they speak, following them at a short distance behind them.

Taking into account irrational complaints about a character when sharing my own opinions about that’s a better pacing isn’t really a topic I’m comfortable with and the notion that people complain about Go just for the sake of complaining is a pretty loaded one and doesn’t signal good faith to me. I’m not going to argue with a notion that relies on a significant portion of users just complaining for the sake of complaint about a fictional character as its basic premise.
