About this deal

To learn more about the mechanism of communication with the deceased, go to: Leslie Flint and his Direct Voice Mediumship Lionel Barrymore describes his Arrival in the Spirit World Leslie Flint, a medium during the twentieth century, was involved in thousands of experiences in which people spoke to deceased loved ones and the deceased responded in normal conversations. Their voices did not come through the medium's mouth or from any one else present. The people whose loved ones came through all expressed with certainty that the voices were their loved ones' and that they had had conversations with the real, living person, although they had been dead, at times for decades. If actors had agreed to engage in fraud and create these remarkable characters, we would have to wonder how they managed to project their voices so clearly and audibly into the area around the medium when skeptics had the medium bound and gagged and were anxiously watching for fraud. Then, what happened to these hundreds of talented actors since the recordings were made? How is it possible that they've all kept silent about their subterfuge all these years, en masse? It would require an incredible conspiracy to even manage such a feat, but to keep it all secret with hundreds of participants who received no money for their efforts would be simply impossible.

When Leslie was 15 years old, three important events happened in his life. One was the death of his hero Rudolph Valentino, who died at the age of 31 due to complications from perforated stomach ulcers. It’s Peter” went on the spirit, still talking to the dentist. “Tell Mother, please, I’m not dead. She is worrying; tell her not to. Tell her I’m all right”. He repeated that he like the enlargement, as though that message had some significance, and added”Two Worlds Publishing Co. 2000 Edition (Now available directly from the Leslie Flint Educational Trust) Leslie Flint described himself as the most tested medium in all of history. In one instance, "He held a certain amount of pink water in his mouth. Then his mouth was sealed by an adhesive strip. After the séance, he returned the entire amount of water--quite a difficult achievement!" (http://www.tanika.com/04-Mediums/flint.htm). The sitters discuss the Catholic father who spoke, the voice of British/Canadian medium Bernard Rodin is heard, I never really believed that dogs and cats and horses had a soul. I realize now that we are very much responsible for the animal kingdom and that they depend a great deal more on us than we realize.

In the last part of his talk he spoke to his mother, telling her that no matter how he evolved, they would always be connected. For her, the most marvellous part of these encounters was hearing how her son had grown over the years. Dr. Neville Whymant, a British professor of linguistics, was a specialist in languages who knew 30 languages. He attended a seance at the home of William Cannon, a New York City lawyer and judge, conducted by medium George Valiantine. In the seance, a man came through speaking ancient Chinese. Whymant knew modern Chinese and knew the literature of ancient China, so he was able to interpret it as perfect ancient Chinese. He learned that the speaker was Confucius, whose writings Whymant knew well. He asked the speaker, in Chinese, about poems people had puzzled over for centuries that Confucius had written. As Whymant began reciting the verses, the spirit interrupted him and finished the poems. Confucius then explained the errors in copying that had occurred after his death, solving the puzzles. You can read about the seance at this link: Dr. Neville Whymant The dead became a normal part of his world early and enduringly, when aged eight, he saw the apparently solid figure of a deceased uncle in his granny's kitchen. Around the same time, Flint grew aware that the voices whispering all around him at the cinema in that silent era, hadn't paid for their admission. He was, in turn, a cemetery gardener, and impromptu gravedigger, a semi professional dancer - up to trophy hunting standard, a cinema usher and a barman, before becoming a medium. As such, I was particularly interested when I found out about the work of Leslie Flint, who has been proclaimed as the most gifted direct voice medium in history. In contrast to a trance medium, like Kevin Ryerson, where spirits utilize the medium’s vocal cords to communicate with human beings, a direct voice medium is able to use his or her life energy to allow spirit beings to communicate in their own natural voices through an energetic device, an energetic voice box or amplifier, a device that allows spirits to speak to human beings directly. His first psychic experience occurred when he was 7 years old, during World War I. Leslie was in his grandmother’s kitchen when his aunt walked in crying, sharing that her husband Alf had been killed in the war. Leslie had never met Alf. A soldier accompanied Nell carrying Alf’s possessions. Leslie then saw a second soldier walk in who appeared very sad, who started pulling on Aunt Nell’s sleeve to get her attention, though Nell seemed to be completely unaware of this man. Suddenly, the man completely disappeared. Later, when Nell showed Leslie a photograph of Alf, Leslie recognized him as the sad soldier who was tugging at Nell’s sleeve. When Alf revealed this to Nell and his grandmother, both told Leslie that he was lying. When Leslie persisted in saying this is who he saw, his grandmother gave him a “clout” to punish him for telling untruths. I wanted to look away, I was embarrassed for Ms. Cook, but try as I might my eyes were glued to the spectacle.

On 7 May 1948 the psychologist Donald J. West attended a séance at Flint's home. West examined the cabinet before the séance and personally attached a tape to Flint's mouth. After the séance he examined the tape covering Flint's mouth and it was no longer in line with the indelible marking that he had made. West asked Flint for further testing but Flint refused. [14]
