About this deal

To help you cover your clients’walls with ease, we asked a cross section of manufacturers what is their hottest selling tool for paperhanging, and why. Here’s what they said: Pasting machine from Tapo-Fix (Model XST 60) — Tapo-Fix’s best-selling XST 60-inch pasting machine turns the chore of paper hanging into an art form. Designed by paper-hanging professionals and highly skilled German engineers, the top-of-the-line machine is made of stainless steel, aluminum, brass and high-grade plastic to make for a rust-free pasting machine. A gear-driven unit, it features a “pop-out” aluminum paste applicator and feed roller for easy cleaning, and a sloped-bottom paste tray and unlimited paste flow adjustment for perfect edge-to-edge pasting. Praised for its durability and versatility, the machine can be used with all types of paste, including clay-base pastes. The Beeline Paste Master Machine allows you to pull one piece through allowing the sheet to soak whilst you swiftly move on to hanging the next drop and so on. Imagine using this machine for a lining project - it is an absolute must and a guaranteed time saver. I have been a decorator for over 15 years but alas lost interest in it, due to several factors whcih i have discussed in full in different posts.

Utility cutter from OLFA (NA-1)— Since 1956, when OLFA first introduced its snap-off blade, which was inspired from snapping pieces off a chocolate bar, the demand for utility cutters has escalated worldwide. Out of the more than 100 precision-cutting tools the company produces for various trades, the refillable soft-handle utility cutter is the most popular among paperhangers. A company spokesman says people at the annual convention of the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers love this particular cutter because its hand-saving soft grip allows for one precision cut after another, day in and day out. The other issue is it is difficult to keep the decretive side of the paper completely clean. To be good at decorating you need to be a perfectionist and even the smallest amount of paste on the wrong side of your paper is too much. For this reason I personally wouldn’t recommend the Pastemaster for finish paper. Next year i am going to uni to study Bsc Economics and Accountancy so you questioning my intelligence is humerous to say the least. You can use a variety of pastes in this machine. When using ready mixed adhesives, I tend to add a drop of water in mine to thin it out ever so slightly, as you don’t want to drown the paper. By now I’ve used all sorts of wallpaper through the Beeline Paste Machine from Lining, Morris & Co or even Laura Ashley wallpaper. Once you get the hang of it you will never paste using a brush again - I assure you.

there are also other post on here by others abot pasting machines some saying that the dear ones are the nuts and the cheap ones are pony have a look hope this helps you but then again you used to put pva in your paint as i read in one of your coments The paper I was hanging was a washable plain, no match contract paper so I fed the whole roll through the machine and folded it concertina fashion, and then another Roll and allowed to soak. Well that took me less than 2minutes to have enough paper pasted to hang 8 drops, which I new put me on a winner. I then put the first roll on top of one of my tool boxes witch stands 2 ft of the ground and just pull the paper up the wall, spatula the paper on, trim off the bottom then move the tool box along and repeat. Produced with quality materials and designed to withstand years of professional use. The legs on the stand can be folded for storage. Height adjustable up to 89cm. Includes a rotary blade cutter. The next day I went in to work and set my pasting table up with my new pasting machine on top of the table and was given some funny looks by the other decorators as none of them had ever seen a pasting machine and only one of them had ever heard about them. With the paste master we can both hang paper. Productivity is doubled, meaning the kit pays for itself after the first job!! A good quality paste machine really does speed you up that much!!

I still have my machine and use it from time to time and would advise anyone who is thinking of buying one to buy one. Choose a labour saving Tapofix machine to maximise your return and productivity on large wallcovering projects. Now, I’m sure most of you would have heard of the brand Beeline but if you haven’t, here’s a brief introduction. Beeline is a market leading wallpaper paste brand, which offers a selection of wallpaper pastes in a variety of grades suitable for all wallcoverings, as well as ready mixed adhesives. I’ve used their adhesives for years and can highly recommend them. I was surprised that I’ve never considered using their paste machine. Since the day I started using it, the Beeline Paste Master Machine has become an absolute essential when carrying out any wallpaper work. When I first heard about this machine I thought; surely this machine will not only be expensive but inconsistent too? Often, wallpapering would put me in a bad mood for the whole day and as I’m not usually an unhappy or moody person, I decided to do something about it. I spent some time on the internet researching the best tools and equipment for wallpapering. One thing that consistently came up in my research was a wallpaper pasting machine, particularly the Beeline Paste Master.I honestly can’t explain how good this machine is and how much use I have had out of it. The most important thing when purchasing a tool is ensuring it pays for itself. Well I can tell you this Beeline machine most certainly has, I absolutely love it.

I have heard various comment’s over the years regarding pasting machines such as, they are too much agro, to expensive, there messy, and are they any good. Do you dread wallpapering jobs? Do you get annoyed when you receive an enquiry for another wallpapering project? Every decorator prefers certain jobs over others. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of wallpapering as it can take me a long time and be a big faff. I have never had to wallpaper on a price, paper to expensive! Always had the savvy to work on a day work basis. This will make matching more diffficult as paper has soaked more also when matching it pullls more and stretches the paper. Hi fordy just to clarify things for you as to why i pasted 8 lengths at a time. And i will type it in slowly for you to able to keep up
