Much like previous codexes, players will be able to pay for the specific upgrade to a unit they want. Beacon of Faith is now not quite as useful, granting an extra Miracle dice that can only be used by the Warlord but does allow you to use an Act of Faith for a second time that phase.

Each can be outfitted with a heavy bolter, heavy flamer, or multi-melta on one arm, a grenade launcher or pair of storm bolters on their shoulders, and a blade or mace in their other hand, to bring the melee pain. These chastened penitents are accompanied by a ruthless overseer – a Repentia Superior – who carries a pair of neural whips with which to ‘encourage’ her charges.The madness only ended when Centurion Longinus of the Adeptus Custodes -- the praetorian guard of the Emperor Himself -- sought out Alicia Dominica and her most trusted companions, the leaders of Vandire's bodyguard. They hurl themselves at the enemy without hesitation, adding one to their wound rolls for melee attacks, with the ability to earn miracle dice for slaying heretical characters.
