It has since been made into a four-part TV drama starring Jill Halfpenny and currently available on Netflix UK. prompted by his son who is eager to share his recently acquired award with his mom, Joe chooses to follow his wife. I think Ellen that was minding her own business that fateful day may have needed the help of someone like the awesome Mr Neeson! His previous thriller, THE CURFEW, was also a Sunday Times bestseller, as was TRUST ME - described as ‘Everything you want from a thriller, and more. Ellen was such a powerful character, and the author managed to really get through how they felt which made me believe and root for them.My latest thriller The Mother is a twisty tale of deceit and betrayal, of redemption and revenge - the story of a woman wrongfully convicted of the very worst crime and her fight for justice.

He is very persuasive at writing from a female viewpoint - I found his main narrator/protagonist totally convincing in her reactions and behaviour in this highly charged and fast-paced thriller. She’s like a tigress with her young cub as her ‘motherly instincts’ kick in, she will do anything to protect Mia from unknown dangers. It would seem that the trend in writing these days is the unexpected twist, which in effect you know, completely negates the whole unanticipated thing.
