Granted if you don;'t like the original Invictus, you will not like this one and if you like the original Invictus, you may not like this one. It is sprayed in the morning and the scent of the perfume stays in the apartment for an hour, and it lasts on clothes for 2-3 days. I find this to be a perfect pivot for those who are tired of 'freshies,' it's sweet and pleasant but not in a blue kind of way. On clothes goes on forever, very good longevity on skin ( 10-12 hours ), projection I'm not quite sure.Honestly its nice and I can see why Invictus is so well liked by women because a woman can EASILY wear this, because it has a lot of jasmine, more than any other designer male fragrance I have seen. Jubilee fragrances are only inspirations, and are not ‘identical’ to any other fragrance or original, nor are they to be confused with the originals. Scentwise I really consider this fragrance more like a reformulation of the original than a flanker or a new and different fragrance.

I’m not really an Invictus fan, but this one flat out smells great to me, the original is too immature like bubble gum, but this replaces the gum with whiskey so it’s now more refined, mature and just perfect for me.

I did take a break from this perfume for a while, sometimes I get a little tired of the scent, or more accurately it overwhelms me since it is very powerful. As the minutes go by, the characteristic laurel note of the first versions is perceived, as well as a salty chord, but with amber always present, as well as a slight liquorous note. In just a moment the ambergris enters the blend with a very noticeable note, earthy, slightly mineral, and musky animalic; the salt enhances this note. Honestly this could easily be a women's fragrance I get a lot of jasmine , neroli and a hint of gardenia but the salt and laurel give it a bitterness which prevents it from going full on feminine.

The pepper permeates too much for me to fully enjoy, I do like the dry down after the pepper settles in, not sure why I get strong Tonka bean notes as well, just not my thing.
