Description

Angry Octopus is one of four stories featured on the Indigo Ocean Dream s audiobook and is available in several formats. It is also beautifully illustrated, and I highly recommend it if you have a child who doesn't know how to deal with strong emotions. He has a fairly typical day of waking up when the sun rises and taking a peek out at the beautiful ocean.

Angry Octopus: A Relaxation Story helps teach young readers how to relax through progressive muscular relaxation. Children relate to the angry octopus in this beautifully illustrated book as the sea child shows him how to manage his anger, remain calm and see things more clearly. It's supposed to teach kids about controlling their bodies by using deep breathing (in through your nose, out through your mouth) but it features. It focuses on coping with anger, but it's appropriate for stress/anxiety, sadness, and many other struggles. I highly recommend picking up this book for our kids, classes, or family to enjoy as a fun but educational read.Angry Octopus Color Me Happy, Color Me Calm ( 9781937985332) is a self-help interactive coloring book that compliments this story. It's a technique that therapists teach us to use, where you tense up a part of your body and then breathe it loose again, one little part at a time from your head to your toes. Freely assemble and enhance them to discover their most curious, exotic and bizarre forms and unlock their true power! Lori Lite was a forerunner in the social-emotional children's book realm, well before they became so popular.

On March 18, 34-year-old Lance Karlson was walking on the beach and looking for somewhere to swim with his two-year-old daughter in Geographe Bay, a popular snorkeling spot about 140 miles south of Perth, when he saw what he thought was a stingray leap from the water. Karlson said he raced back to shore and saw raised imprints of tentacles across his arm, neck and upper back.

Crazy octopus is not just a simple ocean adventure game, but a game of tactics, puzzle and a lot of freedom. However, this book is quite wordy and can be fairly boring to clients especially if they've heard it once or twice before. he didn't have much patience for the entire book but we could get through it by picking and choosing pages. The story pays special attention to bringing attention to feelings and sensations and it highlights important concepts such as self-reflection, body awareness and cooperation.

This is a very well-crafted relaxation story that takes you, step-by-step, through active progressive muscular relaxation meditation. The warm watercolor style illustrations did an awesome job of capturing the life under the sea vibes that the narrative was trying to bring to life, and the rich atmosphere brilliantly brought the sea life surrounding the Octopus to life. She has also been featured in several publications which include Prevention Magazine, Parent Guide New York, Family Circle, Kiwi Magazine, and Aspiring Woman. I liked the simplicity of the story, but I think it would be better if there were more guidance including the breathing as each part of the body is tightened and relaxed. She loves reading her books, and I know she will love this because of the sea child and the octopus. This book pairs perfectly with Angry Octopus: Color Me Happy, Color Me Calm by Lori Lite (see my review here). It is directed toward the octopus, and the illustrations of the octopus trying each one are dusted with a light sense of humor. It makes a great addition to a yoga class or a bedtime ritual and school teachers could use it to help their students relax. The sea creatures are adorable and I love the brightly colored palette and the blurred background lends to the feeling of being under the sea. His goggles fogged and the water around him turned murky with what he thought might have been octopus ink as he struggled back toward the shore.

But an Australian geologist saw another side to the marine creatures, when one octopus defended its home in Western Australia rather aggressively. It focuses on the ownership of feelings and emotions and taking command of the situation, instead of letting things "happen" to you.He presumed the assailant was the same octopus as earlier and that he had inadvertently stumbled upon its home.
