All in all, I would highly recommend this fun, delightful, and did I mention stunningly gorgeous book to everyone. Each planet (or belt) has a short story and all sorts of fun facts spread around the illustrations. Some facts were a bit hard to read, but generally they were easily readable (sometimes they were in a box). As Tara explains, healing is not a linear process and you can’t hustle your way through life. But, if you are: What I did think was a shame was that they clumped Earth and Moon together. I kind of get why they did it, as the girl came from Earth. But I would have liked to see her take a pit stop in between her journey and tell us about Earth. Or maybe end it with Earth? Though that would be kind of weird as we go from Sun to Kuiper Belt, but I guess in the end would make sense.

The tour's plot was Kanye crashing onto a planet and exploring it, during which he even encounters a monster built by Jim Henson's workshop. The chapters I like the most are “Make Decisions for Future You” and “The Best Way to Build a Habit”. But listen. It's all part of being your best you. And, truly, it's all going to come out at some point, so you might as well manage this shit. In her books, Tara uses a memoir style to show her readers her own vulnerability and imperfections. She states several times throughout the book that she is not an expert but cites the research she has done, credits the experts that she has found help her, and even encourages the reader to read those experts’ books. With showing her imperfections, she make it easier to relate to her readers and shows that she is still working towards making herself better every day. I'm glad photo evidence exists of this tour, mostly because I did not catch it. Hearing Kanye West and Spike Jonez talk about, I get some sense of it, while a great deal is left the imagination. I found it most valuable to read the book and then talk to a friend who had been able to catch the tour. Even still, the book itself is no great work.I just wish I could see the Glow in the Dark poster (and in real life or else it wouldn't work of course). The elaboration of her experience before getting to the main point was so long. It could be cut off a lot with good editing. The book's format is also not my liking for a self-help book. Most people are afraid of what others might think or say if they showed up as their true authentic selves. Especially in a business or professional context. That’s why too many of us are terrified of sharing our story authentically in public and struggle to make a lasting impact when introducing ourselves. Tara brings acceptance, compassion, joy, and sometimes even laughter to some of the most difficult subjects of life. I love the way that she speaks to her reader as if you are her best friend and she is sitting in the room with you, holding your hand and helping you cope with whatever it is you may be going through. Overall, this book is a miss for me. However, I truly believe I am not the right person for this book, and I hope it will reach the correct audience widely.

When I was reading this book, I was actively comparing it to the show itself because I thought it would help me be able to review this book even better. I just found out today that they adapted the episodes to read to children before bed.It was inspiring when the author approached the serious healing topics in a funny and lighthearted way, but I felt that the author was trying so hard to be funny in some parts, and I could not bring myself to like it. Come explore with the girl and her dog as we travel from the sun (hot hot hot) to the last one, the Kuiper Belt (which features Pluto). I loved finding the girl in the illustrations, sometimes she was quite tiny so you had to look around. I loved that she at times, if the planet allowed it, was seen stepping on the planet. And at times she was just sitting and relaxing on an asteroid. There are many takeaways/quotes that I found valuable, and the author also helped me to understand that all of our feelings are valid.
