Description

I am not familiar with Iwata, but it should be accessible from the back if you take out the needle and the needle chuck/slider.

But should you attempt the detail painting that requires lower pressure like camo spots, smoke stains, etc. It’s got a fragile looking needle, but don’t be fooled, it’s very springy and tougher than most airbrushes in the market. If by chance it does happen to you, Iwata asks people to get in touch as they will inspect and replace it if is defective.

This Eclipse Series brush has established a new benchmark for excellence in an all-purpose airbrush. In the bottom of the box, under the foam, there was the manual and a small tube of Iwata Super Lube. Iwata designed these airbrushes as multi-purpose, with high paint flow and detail to cover many uses. From extreme detail spraying to maximum coverage, we classify Iwata airbrushes into Five Categories so you can easily find the perfect airbrush to cover your specific needs for any project.

One of the benefits of siphon feed airbrushes is that you can purchase additional bottles and prefill them with your favorite colors. The Iwata will give you finer lines, but the 105 will give you broader coverage and still pretty fine lines. With its high flow and broad spray range, this airbrush allows you to achieve controlled fine lines or controlled wide sprays with ease.

Please note, that this warranty does not cover needles, nozzles, packing and o-rings since these parts need to be replaced occasionally due to normal wear. The unique multi-purpose, high flow Iwata Eclipse Series airbrushes are designed to easily atomize heavier sprayable mediums from a controlled fine line to controlled wide spray. The truth is that only the very tip of the nozzle is like that and you will hardly ever (if ever) need to detach that. If the trigger gets sticky, Iwata recommends putting a few drops of SuperLube in the trigger opening in the body. For reference, I am planning to use the airbrush to basecoat miniatures; I don't know if I should aim for the highest or lowest pressure listed in the range for that type of application.

Unlike the other Iwatas, it has a different type of nozzle ‘floating nozzle’ which is easier and less delicate to take apart. I have one of those cheap knock-offs already so I didn't know whether this would live up to the hype. Naturally, the tension of the seals will cause the sort of resistance your are noticing and this is necessary to the proper operation of the brush. I think it is caused by thinners/paint bypassing the needle seal and getting where its not supposed to be. Die Pistole streut sehr wenig und der Farbauftrag lässt sich sehr gut dosieren - zumindest kann ich das für meine Tamiya Farben sagen.

I just seem to get on with it better for fine use, But the HP-CS is most likely better for most modellers and I used it for many years. There’s no breakdown on the instructions but this page is a useful reference guide along with links to replace the individual components should you need to. In this case, I used Abaddon Black, a base paint which has a dense pigment for solid coverage by brush. I wanted to say that this paint cup’s inner coating coming off, sadly is not just a cosmetic effect. Do not hesitate, (yes I know you're thinking it's too expensive), it's NOT, this will save you time and money in the long run because out of the box, (after a quick initial clean), these things work perfectly, not good, but perfectly.
