One of the first things you can do to help make the most of your time is to ensure that you’re living in the moment. Like most people, I can happily spend the majority of my day looking down at my iPhone. Admittedly there have been times that hours have passed before I have finished working away on my phone… It’s not uncommon. Is that a good thing? Most definitely not, and it’s something that I’m striving to work on every day. Spending all your time looking down at a screen means you’re missing everything that’s happening around you.

I’ve always been the type of person who tries to plan out every little detail, and whilst it can be an effective way of ensuring everything goes to plan – it can also lead to frustration. If you’re anything like me, when everything starts to fall apart it feels as if the world is crashing down. To avoid this unnecessary frustration and stress one thing that I’m trying to do is be more spontaneous. Whilst I’m not talking anything too crazy, I’ve decided I’m going to agree to more things. To step outside of my comfort zone and make the most of every situation my past self would’ve turned down!
If there’s one way to make the most out of your time, it’s to spend it doing something productive! I can’t tell you how many hours I have wasted procrastinating. I made it my mission this year to spend my time working on projects, coursework and videos. Whilst I do feel like I’ve somewhat lost my blogging mojo – I’m working to get back into it, and have been using the spare time to complete coursework! Use the time to get ahead, use it to complete that essay you’ve been putting off, use it to get ahead with your content production! If there’s one use of your time that’s going to make you feel accomplished, it’s being productive!
Whilst it’s easier said than done, spending your time thinking negatively is never going to end well. It was my new years resolution to focus entirely on positivity. Whilst the beginning of this year has already brought it’s own handful of drama, I’ve been ignoring it all and spending my time with people that make me happy! Overall it’s been a positive start to the year and I have enjoyed every minute of it!
I find focusing on and spreading negativity to be such a poor use of time, it brings no benefit to your life or the lives of those around you. Be creative, read a book, go for a walk! Do something positive and enjoy life… That’s the best way to really make the most of your time!
