Because of these family moments, the audience actually cares about whether Bob and his family can overcome their adversaries. The first features Bird and producer John Walker, which covers the overall experience of making the film. Author/cast member Sarah Vowell (NPR's This American Life ) talks about her first foray into movie voice-overs--daughter Violet--and the unlikelihood of her being a superhero.

However, you still get two audio commentaries, a couple of Pixar shorts and a twenty-minute roundtable retrospective from the film's creators. This stuff should be familiar to anyone who's seen a previous Pixar DVD, and serves as either a recruiting video for the animation studio or a way to make you very jealous of their staff. Considering how good a job the producers have done with this disc, it's not too much to ask that people watch it the right way. He and the Pixar wizards send up superhero and James Bond movies while delivering a thrilling, supercool action movie that rivals Spider-Man 2 for 2004's best onscreen thrills. And the villain of the piece is the dastardly Syndrome (Jason Lee, Almost Famous), who hunts down and knocks off heroes in hiding as part of a nefarious plot to create havoc and set himself up as the next super hero. While Bird's penchant to continually name the animators while also apologizing for not naming every single animator grows a little tiresome (this is, after all, a running commentary, not an Oscar acceptance speech), his enthusiasm and insight make up for the occasional lulls into congratulatory chatter. The Publicity section of the DVD left me a bit cold, as it features a group of interviews between the characters in the film and Los Angeles entertainment reporters.

Adding to The Incredibles mystique are the highly entertaining top secret files from the NSA (National Supers Agency).

I have to admit that I'm not too fussed with this one - a whimsical, daft musical fable about a jackalope and a shaved sheep. You might think I m crazy going for FOOL SCREEN but its just for the kids who dont appreciate the black bars. We get a nice 27min Making Of that takes us into the Pixar studios and shows wildboy Bird taking the crew to new levels of expertise. That may be a generalisation but so long as they look on our crooked teeth as if it's a rabies symptom, I feel I'm allowed to make it.

Interestingly, you see everything doesn't always go happy-go-lucky at Pixar, as arguments over costs versus creativity make Bird nuts. Also discussed is the even darker tone that was once mooted, with the death of a good guy to have originally happened. But this DVD is like a miniature master class, where the theory is side-by-side with its practical application. For a company that puts out brilliant film after brilliant film, to say that this is one of the best is saying a lot.

com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US. Nearly stealing the show is Bird himself, voicing the eccentric designer of superhero outfits ("No capes!

They have a recognizable brand—everyone knows what you mean when you say “a Pixar film,” even if you can’t put it into words—but their films have a personal touch. Itching to get back into action, Bob gets his chance when a mysterious communication summons him to a remote island for a top secret assignment. Over the course of half an hour, Bird explains every aspect of why a given scene was created in the first place, why it was altered, edited or removed, and even goes into his reluctance to remove some scenes or his regrets about losing others. The final hour of the film is almost non-stop action, with some truly incredible and well-choreographed set pieces that are thrilling and exciting. Incredible working insurance claims sits at a desk that looks like it was sized for a kindergartner.
