My warning though is about the fibreglass poles - they splinter with age/use and my husband still has a large splinter in his finger from our last hike in May last year! The new and improved Backpacker Deluxe tent from Eurohike is the ideal outdoor shelter for a couple who enjoy trekking and hiking together. Yes, there are tents that are a bit lighter, employ better quality materials and have a few more bells and whistles, and for that reason, I have given this product four stars. Good tent to give wild camping a go, it maybe a bit heavy for backpacking but I still do it, camped out along the Pennine way in heavy rain and the tent stood the test and woke up dry, very good tent.

Yes, it is easy and quickly to put it up possibly because I have a very similar tent for 4 people from the same brand but I really think it will be easy enough for everybody. You can always move onto another tent if you decide you like camping and/or your requirements change. You quite often expect to get what you pay for when you go cheap, but on this occasion, it has surpassed my expectations. I’ve taken this tent out a couple of times now and have been very impressed with how easy it is to set up and how rugged it is in rough weather!
