Before we look at the batteries on this mower, it’s important to know that Bosch lead the way with lithium ion battery technology and continue that development to this day. Does this make it more practical compared to the closest competition? Well, yes I think it does for people with smaller lawns and limited space for storage. There is also a very handy and well positioned central handle that makes carrying the almost 10 kg mower to the garage or shed nice and easy. Motor– This mower is not built like a powerhouse – but the motor you get is still absolutely top notch. I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful this thing was.

The Bosch Rotak 32 LI also has a feature they call “Efficient Energy Management” that Bosch claim will extend operational time by up to 15%. This system adjusts the power delivered to the rotary blade to conserve power when not needed. Again a nice feature on a mower in this range. What makes the Bosch Rotak 32 LI stand out from its competitors is the ability to charge the battery to 80% capacity in just 45 minutes. Believe me this is a great feature that provides outstanding convenience to the average gardener.

You can rest assured that you’re in good hands when using the Bosch Rotak 32R to maintain your lawn. Like all garden tools, the Rotak 32R has its own pros and cons, although all things considered it doesn’t fail to impress. Key Bosch Features Normally I would complain that levers mounted on the front of a mower are always more difficult to adjust than those mounted more centrally, however the design of the height adjustment lever on the Bosch Rotak seems to work very well. Bosch have managed to mount the lever out of the way in the front but still allow for the height to be adjusted centrally, very nice!
