Orange blossom and the dry musk must give that sunny feel to me seeing that I get that vibe from Glow and some other perfumes with it. That "sunny note" orange flower/orange blossom is also in Marc Jacobs Honey and Golden Sunflower and I get the sunny/dusty feel from these as well. As Fresh Cut Lilacs dries down it brought me some of that orange flower/orange blossom in Honey and Golden Sunflower (by BBW), as if youre walking in a spring valley under the hot sun. Fresh fruit is also a big part of our culture. I don't think I've ever gone a single day without some kind of fresh fruit; especially tropical fruit. Here in Los Angeles, we have fruit vendors, whereas in other parts of the country there are hot dog or nut vendors. So, I'm guessing that Jennifer Lopez just combined several of her loves into one signature scent.

I did wear this to work the other day and that’s usually the litmus test of how a perfume performs on me. I could still smell Glow lingering after about 4 hours. That’s outstanding for any perfume much less one this cheap. Also, it’s summer and that can be bad for certain scents but I feel like the warmth of this one held its own. It didn’t turn on me and it wasn’t overpowering. I can see how this fragrance isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea. It’s a very musky, white floral, quasi-old lady scent. To me, it smells classic and refreshing. This was a blind buy and I am really pleased! Totally worth the money. Still by Jennifer Lopez is a comforting fragrance. I received it the other day, tried it out, didn't think too much of it, and tried it again a few nights ago...well, it's one of my favorites now. Funny how that works sometimes. It does not make a huge "statement" but as an everyday scent, it is marvelous. And to be honest, most of my days are "ordinary" where I am either at home or school, not out at a special event. I would consider it to be office-safe, and a good choice for a bedtime fragrance. I think it is the earl grey tea note that makes it so special. It is always thrilling to find something that one adores for such an affordable price.I had no clue it had a rice note in it or the Earl Gray tea note! And apple?! That sounds like such an odd grouping in a fragrance but it works here. I was told it was a tropical smelling fragrance and perfect for warm summer weather. So I went for it. I love anything tropical. I categorize tropical with fresh fruits mixed with florals — tiare, plumeria (Frangipani) or jasmine. Still..... I could go into the notes on this one and write a very lengthy composition but I won't. I'll keep it short, sweet and simple.

I took it home that evening and tried it. Wow, this was NICE. This was when I found out I liked tea scents, and a bit of pepper, and jasmine... But the pepper didnt itch my nose. Maybe the rose took the edge off? This was was more sophisticated. Sometimes I wore this one to work (even though I wasn't supposed to) and it survived every declutter, a move, a marriage, a child...It's actually quite nice and does remind me of being on a fancy beach in the summer. It also strongly reminds me of the Mattel Kiddle mini-dolls that came in brightly colored plastic bottles -- "Perfume Kiddles," I think. Each doll had its own fragrance, and I had one that was supposed to be Lily of the Valley. When I sprayed "Glow" on my wrists and gave it a chance to settle down, all I could smell was plastic impregnated with aldehydes.
