Description

The Wilson zip golf balls have a zero compression core and unique rubber blend that gives this golf ball an ultra-soft feel. It also has a super soft ionomer which complements the zero compression core to give the Wilson zip ball a very soft feel. It is the softest golf ball on the market. Are Wilson Staff Zip Balls Good? Wilson mailed me samples of the Zips late November/early December, which was just the time to try a low compression ball. Our temps were in the mid to low 40s when I took them to my local par three to try them out. Wilson has also implemented its new V-COR construction to create a core that delivers increased velocity and distance gains through the bag. Additionally, a proprietary painting process ensures the finish on each ball is perfect and that every Staff Model ball performs as intended on the course. Finally, it comes with a seamless 362-dimple pattern which helps to produce a flatter, more controlled trajectory, which makes the Wilson Staff Model an excellent option for golfers who often find themselves playing in windy conditions.

One of the first things Amer Sports did for Wilson was to ink a deal with Walmart, cementing the Wilson Ultra in the golfing consumer’s mind as a “department store brand.” In the 1990s, when golf was exploding and golf balls were becoming increasingly sophisticated, Wilson was regarded as little more than a glorified range ball in a market full of premium competitors. The Duo Soft certainly held its own in our robot test. It was one of the best-performing two-piece golf balls we tested - both for distance and approach play. For slower swing speeds (85mph driver), this is one of the second-longest golf balls. It was only at 115mph driver swing speed that it started to show weakness distance-wise. However, the accuracy remained, and thoroughly impressed in this category. Durability is about even but the Callaway looks great even after 18 holes. The Wilsons paint dulls after one play but doesn’t lose any performance. So my next dozen will be FG X’s. This was disputed by some of our testers who felt that the FG Tour was a little spinny with the irons. Since I tend to be a lower-spin player, it’s possible that the difference between the balls is minimized in my hands and exaggerated in other’s. When compared to these other leading golf balls, the Wilson Zip holds its own. It offers exceptional performance, feel, and value for money, making it a great choice for golfers looking for an all-around good golf ball.Casual golf players, learners, serious players, and professionals all need to find a ball that best suits their level of skill and experience. Wilson, the sports equipment company, has been around since 1914. With over a century’s worth of experience in the golfing industry, their list of the best Wilson golf ballshas a golf ball for all kinds of golf players. On the other hand, the Zip golf ball is designed to provide an excellent balance of control and distance. I agreed to a Wilson zip golf ball review because of how much I like this ball, who wouldn’t. However, here is a list of what I like about this golf ball 1. It Has a Fantastic Soft Feel
