Highlight almost all the gold with Scale 75 Dwarven Gold, leaving the Necro Gold in just the recesses. Genestealer Cult: The Genestealer Cult is a faction in the Warhammer 40K universe known for their hybrid nature, combining human and alien elements. They often use leather, fur and other organic materials in their armor and clothing. The Doombull Brown paint would be ideal for painting the leather, fur and other organic materials that are used on their armor and weapons. coat d'arms match the OLD citadel colours so there might be some difference. Shining gold has the most noticeable difference,

Along the edges of the sleeves and inner coat, paint small parallel lines of Skrag Brown. Then paint small random dots of Skrag Brown on the rest of the sleeves and inner coat. Be subtle, don’t be heavy handed. To finish the cloak I just highlighted Zandri Dust with Ushabiti Bone, lightly blending them together on a wet palette. The belt is Rhinox Hide, highlighted with Reaper Tanned Leather (another super useful paint with multiple uses). Keep the Skrag Brown thinned so that the shading you have already done can show through. The wash with Agrax Earthshade is then used to deepen the tone and increase the shading. How to paint Dead horses Skin, Bone, Intestines, Tail & Mane Another optional stage, but one I’m quite fond of, is adding battle damage. Using the same brown as the base coat, sponge it on some of the armor plate’s edges. Less is more when it comes to battle damage.

Raf’s Method

Use Agrax Earthshade to shade and change the colour of the areas painted in the previous stage (staff, feather, lower tunic and garment around the shoulders).

For the skin, start with a base coat of Dark Reaper, that we will highlight with Lothern Blue. Next we shade with a light coat of Drakenof Nightshade. That’s all nice and easy! The challenging bit comes after that – the armour. There are a lot of edges to Mk 10 power armour, never mind Gravis, so this takes a fair amount of time. My first layer of highlighting comes from hitting all the edges with Altdorf Guard Blue, and then following up with a thinner highlight of Calgar Blue. This takes forever, but it also makes the edges really sharp. Dark Eldar: The Dark Eldar are a faction in the Warhammer 40K universe known for their twisted, sadistic nature. They often use leather and other organic materials in their armor and clothing. The Doombull Brown paint would be ideal for painting the leather and other organic materials that are used on their armor and weapons. The next step is the real secret sauce. I created a reasonably dilute wash with a mix of Golden High Flow Acrylics Sepia (pretty much a more concentrated Agrax Earthshade), Golden High Flow Acrylics Dioxazine Purple, and the product formerly known as Future Floor Polish (Now Pledge Floor Care Finish, unless they’ve changed it again.) I wash the entire model in this color, removing excess where it pools too much. If you are working with Games Workshop paints, a mix of Druchii Violet, Agrax Earthshade and water/lahmian medium will work just fine. You will, however, be spending a lot more money to wash an entire army of Custodes using this method. At this point the gold is complete. It’s simple, but has a nice rich depth and purplish warmth to it.Though no master of strategy or battle doctrine, a Doombull is capable of leadership, of a sort. It is he that bellows the raw will of the Dark Ones, triggering a terrifying stampede that can only end when the horde's unnatural thirst is quenched with the blood of Man or they are completely wiped out themselves. [1c] I started with Corax White, my current favorite white base paint. It is not brilliant white, but instead has bluish tones of grey which is perfect for cold clone armor and would provide a nice base for Obi-Wan’s blue lightsaber glow. After basing with Corax, I washed with GW’s Soulblight Grey wash, another fantastic product for painting white.

As you can see, the chapter icon is missing. I’m gonna use self-printed transfer for them, more about that in a future post. How to paint Sector Imperialis bases Wash the gold with Gloss Reikland Fleshshade. Necro Gold is a somewhat greenish gold, and the red tones in the fleshshade warm up the colors while retaining the darker tone.

The use of leather, fur, and organic materials in their armor and weapons led to the decision to include these armies on the list. These armies would be a fantastic match for the Doombull Brown paint, which is perfect for painting organic objects and giving them a sense of age and patina. Doombull Brown Colour Schemes & Combinations Applying the wash at the end of the painting process will tie the colours together and make the transitions smoother. It can, however, result in a gloss finish. Matt varnish will fix this. How to paint Grey Horses Skin GW's new range matches with the old range are the matches claimed by GW. However, many of the paints do not match very closely at all and some mixing will be required to get close to the original colours. If you are trying to match old GW with new GW, you'd be better just getting Vallejo game color or coat d'arms for the closest match )
