An Garda Síochána are following a definite line of inquiry and are not looking for anyone else regarding this crime. The perpetrator will be brought to justice.

The incident happened at about 1.30pm on Thursday outside a school, Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire. Police said a five-year-old girl, a woman in her 30s and a man in his 50s sustained serious injuries. The girl was receiving emergency medical treatment. A five-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl were treated for less severe injuries. The boy was discharged from hospital.Supt Geraghty said: "The boy has since been discharged from CHI Crumlin. An Garda Síochána is providing support to the parents of all the children. The adult female in her 30s is being treated for serious injuries at the Mater Hospital." Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire is an Irish-medium primary school with 172 pupils based in a four-storey Georgian building on Parnell Square, a busy thoroughfare in Dublin’s north inner city. There are many variations in the design and appearance of the blade shape, which allows you to find a knife that suits your specific needs.

There are dozens upon dozens of variations out there, but these are some of the most popular types of knife blades. The five-year-old girl is thought to have sustained the most serious injuries, with officials saying she is in "very serious condition in hospital". Her teacher is also in a serious condition, while information about the other victims is yet to be shared. This morning, police added they had made 34 arrests in connection with the violence. Officials described them as a "complete lunatic faction" and said their motive was "driven by far-right ideology". Reports say the riots were sparked by rumours that the knifeman was a foreign national, with the mob blaming "migrants" during their protest. Siobhan Kearney, an eyewitness, told Kitty Holland she had been having a cigarette outside the Rotunda hospital when the incident happened:

On Thursday night a helicopter hovered overhead as police in riot gear used shields and batons to clear a crowd down O’Connell Street, Dublin’s main thoroughfare. At the other end, by O’Connell Bridge, flames rose from the remains of a bus and a car. He paid tribute to gardai and all emergency workers who he described as having put themselves in harm’s way “to deal with the actions of a small minority in our society”.
