The film was followed by I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) and I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006). In the first sequel, Love Hewitt, Prinze Jr. and Watson reprise their roles. The second sequel has very little relation to the first two, other than the premise, the villain and the producers. It featured new characters and a different setting. It all builds to an electrifying climax that will have you holding your breath as you read... Will Ruby make it out alive? Here's what Melissa Joan Hart — who played Clarissa and Sabrina the Teenage Witch — is doing today". Business Insider. The ending was OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY, and I really loved it. It was exciting and a perfect ending to this story. I do hope that in the future people are a bit kinder to Ruby. Less judgmental over a mistake she made years and years ago. I would highly recommend this fast-paced and exciting read to all.

This was my favorite novel from Claire McGowan to date. I loved the alternating time lines and characters. The story about Casey being a nanny for a wealthy family in L.A. was very intriguing. I thought I had all of the answers figured out in this mystery but I was clearly wrong. I highly recommend this fantastic novel! I felt the end was a lil bit of a reach... Maybe more than a lil bit. Overall, I was hooked by the exploration of familicide and challenging the theory "where there's smoke, there's fire."But, when the wife of her lover is murdered and her belongings are found near the crime scene, Rachel realizes she is being framed. Author Guy Bass introduces SCRAP, about one robot who tried to protect the humans on his planet against an army of robots. Now the humans need his... J'ADORE. 4.5/5 stars only because the "reveal" was obvious from the start. However, Claire's writing, character-building, and the original storyline kept me engaged.Everything is told in the first person from Ruby's point of view, and she makes for both a believable and compelling narrator. Her insecurities are laid bare as there are several moments where she is faced with a fight or flight response, and the author imbues her voice with a real honesty. It is also hard not to feel for her after what happened in the past and how she is treated by some of her fellow students. It’s propulsive and fun, but manages to deliver the nonsense and jump scares with just enough emotional and psychological realism – especially as the friends start to suspect each other – to keep us invested. I also loved the romance sprinkled in, i love how it added an extra element, and he’s one of my favourite characters!! Unnithan, Sandeep (January 20, 2003). When Rachel stumbles upon a body in the woods, she knows what she has to do: run. Get away. Do not be found at the scene. Last time, she didn’t know, and she ended up accused of murder. But when this victim is identified as her boyfriend’s estranged wife, Rachel realises she’s already the prime suspect. If you have a sordid past, isn't the first place you go to a big city so everyone doesn't know your name and business? I really enjoyed my first read of a Claire McGowan novel and look forward to reading more from this author. After that, we’re off and running through a pacy plot offering plenty of potential killer-candidates, before the gang’s focus narrows to one seeming impossibility, and inventive deaths (I’d avert your eyes from Coach Eric – you’ll know when). There are plenty of blood and guts besides (we begin with a dripping goat head in a wardrobe and escalate rapidly from there), and a lightly-S&M relationship between Allison and Lennon’s father and the local police chief that, given the number of secrets the former is carrying about his daughters, would seem ill-advised.

Ebert, Roger. "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Chicago Sun-Times. Archived from the original on April 8, 2013 . Retrieved November 11, 2017. I have a couple of Sue Wallman books on my shelf, but my husband bought me this one for my birthday... Why haven't I read any of her books before?! It was so easy to fall into the narrative of Ruby, a teenage girl with a dark secret, starting at a new school, when two of her class mates are murdered, and she's one of the last people to see them both alive... I Know What You Did Last Summer has been referenced in various films and television series, and its central plot was parodied at length in the spoof films Scary Movie (2000) and Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th (2000).
