Additionally, some may want a Bluetooth receiver to transfer data and files between two devices easily. For example, between a smartphone and a desktop PC, or tablet and laptop. This is the same frequency used by other household devices, such as smart home devices, radio-controlled toys and kitchen appliances. Because of its popularity, it is prone to getting cluttered, resulting in device interference. It is also the frequency used by Wi-Fi routers and might be one of the reasons your house suffers from patchy and inconsistent internet connections. Read our article on the best Wi-Fi routers to grab a router that can transmit on a much faster 5GHz frequency. Setting up the Anker Soundsync A3352 was a breeze. The device came with clear instructions, and I had it up and running in no time. The user-friendly interface made navigating the receiver's functions effortless. Pairing with my devices was a seamless process, and the receiver remembered the devices, automatically reconnecting when in range. Connectivity is good, and the device sits out of sight inside my center console storage compartment. I just have to remember to turn it off when I leave the car, but even if it runs down it starts to charge again as soon as the car starts, so I am only out of music for a minute while it charges a bit.

In a world where music accompanies our every step, finding a reliable and versatile Bluetooth receiver is crucial. As an avid music enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Anker Soundsync A3352 Bluetooth Receiver, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. In this comprehensive review, I will share my personal experience with this innovative device, covering all the key points that make it an outstanding choice for music streaming on the go. Bluetooth replaces the need for a wired connection between two or more devices. Bluetooth 4.0: This technology introduced a range of improvements over Bluetooth 3.0, including connection stability and transfer speed. Most of all, this generation is noted for debuting Bluetooth LE, also known as Bluetooth Smart. Bluetooth LE vastly lowered the power consumed by Bluetooth connections. The SoundSync is extremely easy to use. Once it receives power via the USB connector it can be switched on, after which pairing is very straightforward. A long press on the power button enables pairing and then you can select the device from the phone’s Bluetooth menu. The biggest downside to the Anker SoundSync Drive is the AUX port requirement. The AUX port isn't a downside. Far from it. It's miles ahead of the FM transmitter, in terms of audio performance. However, a significant number of older stereos don't have AUX ports. And if your stereo doesn't have an AUX port, this kit has no value to you. Bluetooth receivers are also useful for adding a wireless connection to a home stereo system. If you have a good entertainment and audio system using bookshelf speakers, ceiling speakers or surround sound options, you may still be needing a Bluetooth connection. Buying a Bluetooth receiver can help you access the convenience of streaming without sacrificing the audio quality of your premier setup. Needless to say, I was impressed with both the receiving and transmitting capabilities of the Soundsync A3341. While I don’t own any equipment that provide digital inputs and outputs, I can only assume that this device would produce similar results for digital technology as well. This is also the case for car stereos that still use 3.5mm aux-in connections. With smartphones such as the Apple iPhone 12 no longer supporting hardware for physical headphone connections, anyone wanting to listen to Spotify or Google Maps as they drive will benefit from a simple plug-and-play Bluetooth receiver upgrade. The next step up from DAB is DAB+. It refines the DAB technology to allow even more stations onto one frequency. Be careful however, while DAB+ can accept regular DAB, this isn’t true the other way around. Look for DAB+ or even in-car WiFi setups to futureproof yourself. Will it fit my car?

The SoundSync also supports handsfree calling, with the call playing through the car speakers. There is a built-in microphone, but call quality isn’t particularly impressive. Still, it’s acceptable and means you can legally take calls without risking six penalty points. This device does allow using it for phone calls if you set it to, allowing hands-free phone in the car. As I mentioned, my car already has Bluetooth hands-free phone capability so I have turned this feature off. When you connect the device with your phone you get a choice to use it for just phone, just music, or both. I chose just music. Occasionally a manufacturer or retailer will list a Bluetooth device and reference 2.4GHz. This is because Bluetooth uses the 2.4GHz radio frequency range to connect with other Bluetooth devices.
